Eina, eina…

“Unmitigated disaster”…”abject humiliation”…”desperately woeful”…”embarrassing”. Sigh. There are just too many terms available for the Proteas’ capitulation in Durban: about the only bright spot was the fact that we avoided a record defeat, something I wasn’t too sure of when we started our second innings. Talk about cold comfort! I’m amazed at how the tables have turned – is this really the same team that overcame against all odds in Australia? The similarities, in opposite, of the two series make me wonder if overconfidence didn’t play an even greater role than usual in the fates of both teams.

Well done, Aus. Right. I’ve given up on cricket now, time to cheer on the Sharks. Hope they survive my support…

    Eina! Words are not enough!

How the pendulum swings so quickly.

  2. Grant says:

Well look what happened this w/e against the Reds – Steve – I really think you should start supporting the Cairo Pharohs – or Kahtmandu Kings – or Hokkaido Warriors – or some other team that we haven’t heard of – and let them tast defeat for a change 🙂

Never mind finding another team to support, I think I’m giving up on this sporting thing altogether! Ah well, such are the tribulations of a loyal fan…
